Immersive Experience Set to Launch in 2025 Across Cosm Venues in Collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery, Little Cinema, and Cosm Studios
Cosm, a pioneer in immersive entertainment and technology, announced today that it will bring The Matrix into its groundbreaking Shared Reality format to commemorate the film’s 25th anniversary. In collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery, Little Cinema, and Cosm Studios, the event will reintroduce the iconic science fiction film in a new immersive format designed to engage audiences in a fully reimagined cinematic environment.
The Matrix 25th Anniversary
This special anniversary event will showcase select scenes from The Matrix enhanced with dynamic visuals, spatial audio, and interactive elements designed specifically for Cosm’s 360-degree LED dome environments. Through its proprietary Shared Reality technology, Cosm merges digital content with the physical world, enabling audiences to step into the film and experience it together in a uniquely communal way.
The 25th anniversary presentation is slated for 2025 and will be hosted at Cosm’s purpose-built venues in key U.S. cities, including Los Angeles and Dallas, with additional locations in development. The experience is part of Cosm’s broader initiative to reframe how audiences engage with film and entertainment by integrating immersive technology into the viewing experience.
“Cosm’s Shared Reality is not just about watching a film—it’s about being inside of it,” said Jeb Terry, President and Chief Executive Officer of Cosm. “We’re honored to partner with Warner Bros. Discovery and Little Cinema to celebrate The Matrix, a film that has continually pushed the boundaries of visual storytelling. This collaboration gives fans a chance to re-experience the film in a format that reflects its visionary spirit.”
Cosm, privately held immersive technology and media company
Founded in 2020, Cosm is a privately held immersive technology and media company. It was created by Mirasol Capital through the strategic acquisition and merger of two long-standing leaders in dome and planetarium technology—Evans & Sutherland and Spitz, Inc. Together, these entities formed the foundation for Cosm’s unique expertise in large-scale immersive experiences. The company’s headquarters is located in Los Angeles, with major operations in Salt Lake City.
Cosm’s mission is to bridge the gap between virtual content and real-world experiences. With a focus on delivering next-generation storytelling across sports, music, wellness, and cinematic content, Cosm continues to develop experiences that connect audiences in meaningful ways. Its Shared Reality venues serve as destinations where technology and storytelling come together to create immersive, collective moments.
Cosm is owned and backed by Mirasol Capital, a private investment firm founded by entrepreneur and investor Ben Lamm. Under Lamm’s direction, Cosm is scaling its venue network and expanding its original content and studio capabilities, including the development of Cosm Studios, which produces content specifically for immersive environments.
The upcoming Matrix experience continues a growing slate of collaborations between Cosm and major media partners. More details, including ticket information and specific launch dates, will be announced in the coming months.
